Thursday and Friday, October 26-27, 2017
You are cordially invited to attend the first annual American Forum for Syria Policy, which will take place in Washington, D.C. on October 26-27 at the JW Marriott Hotel, 1331 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, D.C. 20004.
After nearly seven years of crisis, we find ourselves no closer to attaining a lasting political solution for Syria. To the contrary, the Syrian government and its allies in Tehran and Moscow continue their attacks on civilians; radical extremists like ISIS and Al-Qaeda still threaten Syria’s future and U.S. security; and over 12 million Syrians who fled the violence are left with no option to return safely to their homes.
The theme of the forum is a new way forward in supporting a free, democratic, and secular Syria.
This two-day forum will bring together the Syrian American community, U.S. policymakers, and the Syrian diaspora to focus on issues central to the United States’ approach to resolving the crisis and building toward a future democratic Syria.
